Senesco Marine

Construction began on the Reinauer Twins (Senesco Hull #204)in February 2010 at Senesco Marine in North Kingston R.I.
She was rolled on to the drydock on 26 July 2011 and subsequently launched on 3 August 2011.
Final delivery to Reinauer Transportation was on 30 September 2011.

The Reinauer Twins represents the third member of the 4 member FacetTug class designed by Robert Hill of Ocean Tug and Barge for Reinauer Transportation.

The main difference that sets the Reinauer Twins apart from the two previous FACETTUG ATB's built for Reinauer is that the tug is SOLAS compliant and that her tower is built of steel and not of aluminum as was her predecessor's. Her SOLAS rating includes additional equipment such as an additional emergency generator, additional insulation and electronics, installation of an engine order telegraph in the wheelhouse, installation of GMDSS and other additional wheelhouse electronics, a rescue boat and davit on the boat deck, and additional firefighting and life saving equipment.

She is powered by two MTU 16v-4000 M60 diesel engines rated at 2,360 horsepower each taken at 1,800 RPM with Lufkin RS2850HG reduction gears at a ratio of 7.5:1. turning two three bladed NAUTICAN 104(in) propellers mounted in NAUTICAN nozzles with triple shutter rudders for a rated 4,720 horsepower. Additionally, the tug is fitted with an INTERcon Series "C" coupler system with two 34(in) diameter pins.

Her electrical power is supplied by three 99 kW John Deere generator with Marathon electric ends. One generator is dedicated to the INTERcon coupler system.
